This
intimate sculpture celebrates
ideal of pregnancy, where the man shares his strength and
gives his beloved partner lots of love and support. Makes

who loves the beauty of creating a new life together.
This
is the third sculpture in my "Story of Love" series,
in which each sculpture represents a different stage and focus
point in a loving relationship. I created this sculpture after
watching a young couple very much in love unconsciously standing
in this way for several minutes.
Many other couples have since told me that they can remember
holding each other in this standing embrace when they were
pregnant. There is something so special about reaching arms
around the one you love and touching the new life growing
inside.
The
pregnant couple stand together in perfect balance, their arms
flowing down to embrace the growing miracle. This sculpture
celebrates that beautiful time of pregnancy, where the man
is giving his beloved lots of love and support.
When
you hold this sculpture, you will feel the soft flowing lines
of the couples arms as they merge together in love to embrace
the new life.
Many people have told me they like to set up candles and flowers
around their sculpture as a way of making a special altar
to love. The gift box the sculpture is shipped in can also
be used as a display pedestal.
Each
one of these sculptures have been lovingly handcast in a special
sculptural medium called cast stone. It has a lovely smooth
natural feel and a pleasantly satisfying weight and texture.
All of my sculptures feel wonderful when you hold them in your
hands and are meant to be picked up and touched as well as looked
at.
Each
sculpture has been individually signed with my signature inscribed
into the bottom of the sculpture.
A
special gold wash has been rubbed into each sculpture to enhance
the variations in texture and detail. Please note that due to
the handmade nature of the sculptures, no two of these lover's
sculptures are exactly alike, and the final finish may very
slightly from what is shown in the picture.

I was
born in Australia and spent many years wandering to strange
place around the world, and my sculptures are influenced by
many different cultures.
My
sculptures are a sensual experience. A good sculptural work
calls out to be touched as well as looked at. In my work I try
to create artworks which evoke an instant tactile response.
Often
when I am sculpting my hands just seem to take over. It's almost
as if my mind switches off or goes on holidays. It is a state
of being outside of time for me. Many hours can pass as almost
unconsciously the sculpture seems to create itself.
